Dental Assistant

Educational objective: Dental Assistant
To train students to acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate competence in chair-side procedures, intra-oral radiographic procedures and business office duties. Upon successful completion of the training, the student will be qualified for an entry level position as a Dental Assistant. The graduate will receive the Dental Radiation Certificate approved by the Dental Board of California. 

Length of Program: Nine months
Total Quarter Credit Hours: 61.5 

Medical Assistant

Educational objective: Medical Assistant
To train students in acquiring skills and competence in back office procedures including injections, electrocardiograph, venipuncture, and front office business procedures to include insurance coding and billing.  Upon completion, students will be qualified to assume entry-level positions as Medical Assistant. The graduate will also be eligible to sit for the California Certification for Medical Assistant  Examination Sponsored by the California Certification Board for Medical Assistant in the areas of Administrative and Clinical.

Length of Program: Nine months
Total Quarter Credit Hours:  59.5
